All that wander are not lost ... unless they want to be!
Strolling down a woodland path or a path you create in your own garden at home is a wonderful way to relax and encourage the pressures of the day to drift away. Imagine walking, slowly, letting the sights and sounds of nature gently enter your soul ... a beautiful flower, a bird chirping, watching a ladybug or a hummingbird busy at its daily chores, listening to a frog croaking. Your eyes search for the fragrance that awakens your senses and find the honeysuckle that is climbing up the tree. Or is it the rose growing by the rock?
If you don't have a nature trail nearby, you can create a tranquility path in your garden. It doesn't have to be really long, it could just go round and round or meander through your back yard, or all the way around your home. It's easier than you think. Be sure and incorporate seating areas where you can meditate and make the world go away, as well as little surprises here and there to peek your senses. And always add a special focal point at the end of your path as your reward for taking this time for yourself.
But for now, let's take a look at some beautiful garden paths. Consider the foundation ... is it bark, stone, wood, gravel or a bevy of other choices? Is your path heavily wooded, in a meadow, maybe at the beach, or somewhere in between? Does it have lots of blooming flowers or is it mostly green with ferns? Do fairies live in your garden? Have you provided houses them or for the birds and toads? Is there water along your path, maybe a waterfall or pond? Do you have a companion to share your path, maybe a cat or dog, or a grandchild?

What did you find on your own garden path?
Enjoy the little surprises along the way, or add a few treasures you love to brighten your day!
Enjoy!
